Ukraine achieved alignment with the EU's foreign policy by 95% in 2024 and 100% in 2025. The next step is to open the "External Relations" negotiation cluster.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha stated that Ukraine has reached a historic level of alignment with the foreign policy and defense strategies of the European Union. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (MFA) on the social network X, reports UNN.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said that Ukraine's compliance with EU foreign policy statements and decisions reached 95% in 2024 and 100% in the first months of 2025. This was confirmed during the verification of Ukrainian legislation under the section "Foreign, Security and Defense Policy", which the EU completed in early March
The ministry noted that this exceptional achievement reflects Ukraine's strong commitment to integration with the European Union, "as it continues to harmonize its foreign policy with EU standards."
"As the verification of Ukrainian legislation for negotiations with the EU progresses, the next key milestone is the opening of the "External Relations" negotiating cluster, which could pave the way for further progress in Ukraine's EU accession negotiations," the Foreign Ministry added.
